Chairman's Message

BillWelcome to the Stewardship Action Council.  Your involvement is part of our vision of creating a sustainable world.  The SAC is about a collaboration of ideas and ideals towards the responsible stewardship of earth’s resources, including natural, ecological, and human.  There are many means of achieving these various aspects of stewardship.  By creating a platform where a broad and diverse group can share their ideas we provide the opportunity for organizations to skim the best of the best practices, fitting those practices into their existing stewardship structures, thereby facilitating and accelerating further development and implementation of stewardship initiatives.  And it is this confluence of innovations from a broad array of sources into the stewardship of many organizations that creates the basis for and driver of sustainability in our society at large.

Our members span a broad and diverse group seeking synergy in driving improvement.  We encompass large international corporations and small local industry, manufacturers and service providers, government at multiple levels, nongovernment and not-for-profit organizations, academic and educational institutions, and so forth.  We come from across the US, with interests around the world.  Our concerns span the ecological and natural resource aspects of the planet, people including workers and surrounding communities, and the wise interface with these resources in creating an ever more sustainable economy.

Indeed, every new participant in the SAC represents additional threads that strengthens and broadens the fabric of stewardship in support of a sustainable future.  Join with us as we go forward.
