Schedule of Activities Announced for SAC Participation in the 2011 National Safety Council Congress & Expo
SAC's booth will be up for the entire conference from Monday, October 31 through Wednesday, November 2. 

Expo Hours:
Monday, October 31             10:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m.
Tuesday, November 1            9:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
Wednesday, November 2      9:30 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.


SAC events begin with our two Technical Sessions, on Tuesday, November 1 from 1:00pm to 3:00pm and 3:30pm to 5:30pm.  A description of the technical sessions is detailed below. 
We will be hosting a Member's Dinner the evening of Tuesday, November 1. Our Member Meeting is taking place on Wednesday, November 2 from 9:00am to 12:00pm (time is subject to change). We invite you to attend all events especially the two technical sessions on Tuesday, November 1 from 1:00pm to 3:00pm and 3:30pm to 5:30pm. A description of the technical session is detailed below:  

Using EHS Excellence to Meet Societal Expectations (1:00pm-3:00pm)

The times have changed, keeping employees safe and properly disposing of wastes is no longer enough.  The Stewardship Action Council assists organizations in improving sustainability performance through collaboration, a vibrant learning network, and by recognizing successes and sharing outcomes.  This session will present examples of how our members drive social and environmental improvements through their operations.  Come learn what has worked for our members and how it may be adaptable to your operations.

The Stewardship Action Council Workshop (3:30pm-5:30pm)

The Stewardship Action Council assists organizations in improving sustainability performance through collaboration, a vibrant learning network, and by recognizing successes and sharing outcomes.  This session will present our ongoing activities, including our collaborative partnership efforts, our learning network, how we engage with our state partners, and the process we are undertaking to develop a Corporate Membership Level, along with the progress made to date. Come learn what participation in SAC offers your company.

If You Want To Attend the Entire NSC/SAC Event

Registration Fee is $615.  Registration is available via a link on the SAC website (www.stewardshipaction.org) and directly on the NSC Conference website.

 

If You Want To Attend Only the SAC Events and Expo*  

Registration Fee is the $75 EXPO FEE.  YOU MUST REGISTER BY MAIL or FAX; online registration is not available for this rate.  The registration form is attached here and through a link on the Members Only website. Please note that the attached registration form identifies you as an SAC member, you must use this form to be eligible for the $75 rate.  Completed forms can be mailed or faxed to Sheryl Strain.

SECOND ROUND MEMBERSHIP OPEN

SAC is now accepting applications for the Second Round of membership.  The application period is open until November 15th; application information is available on our website. Members submitting applications before October 21st will be recognized along with our Charter Members at the First Annual SAC Conference, being held in conjunction with the National Safety Council Congress and Expo in Philadelphia October 31 - November 4, 2011. 

Work Group Updates

Work group calls are being scheduled over the next few weeks.  These calls will focus on prioritizing the key activities to be conducted over the next several months, and identifying roles, responsibilities and time lines for completion.  If you wish to participate in our work group activities, but have not yet let us know, please contact Anne Vogel-Marr at Anne@stewardshipaction.org.
