Door Prize - Rachael Carson Signed First Edition Copy of Silent Spring
|
|
Renee Stephens of Schneider Electric was the lucky winner of the Stewardship Action Council's door prize, a signed first edition copy of Rachaels Carsons's Silent Spring. The book, donated by Frank Priznar of Prizim, Inc, was awarded to Renee at the SAC Member's Reception during the fall meeting. The book was presented to Renee by Frank, who stated "SAC's vision of creating a sustainable world through collaboration of ideas and ideals is aligned with my values and the values of my company, PRIZIM Inc. I am pleased to work with the organization to disseminate these principles through Carson's crucial work. We are all responsible for serving as stewards of the earth's resources, and I hope that donating this original first edition of Silent Spring will function as inspiration for both the recipient and for all of us who believe in speaking up, making a difference, and accepting responsibility for the critical work that lies ahead of us."
